Have you noticed how in a lot of books, the protagonists is some dark mysterious sexy person. Yeah... well it doesn't always need to be that way, lol.

Bright and cheerful can be interesting too.

Not really sure what the whole concept is, so you can decide for yourself. I spent like 5 hrs on this, and I think it's a lot better than the rest of my gallery, lol.

Yeah, I've noticed that too

There's nothing wrong with having a mysterious silent character but after reading like 20 books full of them, you start disliking them more and more...

It seems like the more unique the better in more cases, but it's hard to make characters super unique without being really weird. but all the typical stuff gets old, like you said.
